I am wondering how often you enjoy a burger? Because obviously it’s not something to be eaten every day?

Probably a few times in the summer. Maybe 5x a year.
Maybe once every couple of months.
From a restaurant, once or twice a month. I make homemade teriyaki burger patties about once a month.
Once a month at most.
Maybe once a week.
Fairly often. Once every couple of weeks, maybe?
We make them at home sometimes, and we eat fast food on semi-regular occasion.
Summer cookouts, mainly around the high holidays like the Fourth.
Other than that, only occasionally throughout the year. Sometimes a good burger just hits the spot.
Probably about every other month or so. More often during the summer when we have more cookouts/outdoor activities.
We make them at home once or twice a year. We eat them at a restaurant/fast food maybe once every 6-8 weeks or so
They are VERY common at outdoor events- sports games, parties, cookouts, etc.
Probably twice a month I’d guess. I don’t get burgers every time I eat out, and live in a city without a grill, so usually don’t make them at home ever.
Twice a month I think. I do love a good cheeseburger. No shame in my game.
I probably have one a couple times a month. I’m eating one right now for lunch.
>Because obviously it’s not something to be eaten every day?
I mean you make do with what you’ve got. There was definitely a time in my life where I’d eat burgers multiple meals in a row because the local drive through had em 2 for $3, they were big, and as a result cheaper than groceries.
These days I only eat burgers that are home made or from a sit down restaurant. Maybe 2x a month, max
About once a quarter would be my guess.
Not fast food either. A good restaurant burger with fries.
Had two yesterday
Once every few months.
Once a month
In the winter – maybe 1 or 2 times
During BBQ season – maybe 1 or 2 times a week
I never eat burgers from restaurants or fast food
About once a week.
Probably around once a month.
Hardly ever. A few times a year maybe.
When I was in my twenties, maybe once or twice a week. Now, in my thirties, maybe once or twice a month.
Once a week maybe twice.
Probably once a week to every two weeks. Around where I’m at, there’s a local fast food chain called Pal’s that serves decent burgers (in addition to phenomenal sweet tea) that are still very cheap. It’s just a quick and cheap source of protein to keep me going while I run errands. What they call their "junior" burger is 335 calories with lettuce, tomato, and onion. It’s obviously not health food, but it’s not the ginormous heart attack people think of when they think of American burgers.
Maybe once a year, if that?
I don’t really care for burgers. My husband and kid, who do like them, will have them a handful of times a year.
About half the summertime burgers I eat are black bean burgers, and the other half are typical beef burgers.
In the summer, we’ll make burgers anout once a week.
The rest of the year, mmmmaybe once a month (and almost always black bean burgers).
I’ll enjoy a good restaurant burger mmmmaybe once a year. But we don’t really have the luxury of eating out often.
>Because obviously it’s not something to be eaten every day?
Why would you think not?
Not as much as I used too. I eat different types food now but get in n out once in a while.
Depends. Sometimes it’s frequently, other times it’s rarely. As someone who doesn’t like chicken it’s basically my only option when getting fast food, so if I’m traveling and have to eat out that’s basically what I get. If I buy ground beef I typically will make a bunch of burgers, freeze them, and have them for dinner a couple times a week until they run out. If I’m at a restaurant and don’t want to overspend or can’t find anything else, it’s a good option. However, it’s not something that I seek out very often.
Once a weekish? I had a double quarter pounder today for lunch….and I cooked smash burgers on Tuesday
So I’ll lead this with saying I am aware my diet is terrible, and that at my age o know I really should be taking better care of the no longer mint condition equipment that I’m stuck working with…
I eat burgers probably a couple times a week, they’re fast reliable and taste good. Also their available at the bars that are typically the only remaining option for food by the time I get back on the shore and am thinking about dinner. The rest of my dinners typically involve ribs, or brisket and all have a about a half gallon of beer (4 glasses at a pint a glass, for 2 quarts or a half gallon) also French fries more often then not or mashed potatoes.
From 0 to about 4 in any given week. I batch cook so if I make a burger for dinner one night I’ll be eating left overs of it for a few days after at least, since cleaning a pan used for 1 burger is basically the same as cleaning it for multiple patties. Also, re: your every day comment, if you’re talking from a health perspective that depends on what your burger is made of. A triple patty-bacon-cheddar-ranch burger is not going to do your heart any favors, but a lean beef patty with ample veggies and a whole grain bun isn’t especially unhealthy compared to any other meal you could make. The saturated fat is in the details.
I would say I range from twice a month to once a week.
Rarely. I might have like one a month on average? But it also wouldn’t be weird for me to have several within a few days. My diet varies a lot
Couple times a month, probably one at home and one at a restaurant
Once every couple of months, at most. Every now and then I really want one, but it’s not very often.
Once a week, give or take. Usually from Braum’s.
Maybe 5-6 times a year
ETA: oh are you talking about fast food? 1-2 times a year
Maybe 2-3 times per month. Once a week during summer, because I grill most dinners then.
Maybe once every few months? I am trying to limit my beef consumption and I’m pretty picky about how I like my burgers so it’s not something I frequently seek out.
My biggest complaint about burgers in restaurants is the current trend of making them these tall monstrosities with a million toppings and a brioche bun. It’s nearly impossible to get a proper bite of everything.
A burger from a fast-food/normal restaurant? Maybe a few times a year. Homemade maybe once a month; although when made at home I usually make turkey burgers
I’ve had 4 burgers this week. I live alone, so I just made 4 on Monday amd had one each day for dinner.
I may buy one burger from a restaurant every month or two.
You can get a burger anyplace. You don’t have to go to a fast food restaurant like you listed. You can get a burger at a very nice restaurant and they can taste different and amazing. I love a good burger, but only about once a week.
I’ve definitely gone through time periods of my life where I eat a cheeseburger multiple times a week but lately not so much. Fastfood has gotten super expensive and I’ve been buying mostly pork and chicken due to the cost of beef, so my burger consumption is very minimal these days.
Maybe once every two weeks. I’m trying to avoid fast food as much as possible outside of Taco Bell once in a while
Very rarely
OP what’s really interesting is if you pay attention to the regional differences in these responses.
I average maybe once a month. Maybe less. None of the places you list as "legendary" are actually decent burgers, and I’ve probably eaten a those places twice in the past decade (once each at Whataburger and In-n-out while I was traveling).
3 times a day 7 days a week.
Very rarely, maybe one or two a year?
Usually on a road trip or if I need to eat quick on the way to somewhere. It’s quick and reliable to just grab a burger from McDonald’s or some other chain. So maybe once every month or two for fast food.
At home we typically grill burgers at least every couple of weeks in the summer. Such a great mood in the summer.
It really depends, sometimes frequently, sometimes rarely. On average though I’d say once every other month.
I can’t remember my last one, probably last summer on vacation.
I don’t eat bread. I make cheeseburger salads instead and that’s once a week because it’s so dang good
A couple times per month on the high end, usually more in the summer
Almost never. I maybe eat 1-2 burgers a year, since I don’t really like beef that much.
I’d eat one every day if I could. I had one today.
Seldom.
Once or twice a month, I guess. I rarely cook them at home, but I do weekly pub trivia and get a burger there fairly often. I only eat fast food once or twice a year, like if I’m going on a road trip or something and don’t have another option.
1-4 per month, depending on how often the kids demand them
Maybe twice a year.
A friend of mine was shocked that I haven’t had an In & Out burger since I moved to California a year ago. She asked me where I get my hamburgers from. I said I have had exactly 3 hamburgers in the past year. She said she gets In & Out at least once a week…
.. so i think there is a wide spread.
I don’t know if I’ve eaten one since college. I graduated in 2020.
Maybe twice a year. Usually Burger King. Not big on meat.
Pre-covid and post-covid have been different. Pre-covid we’d go out maybe twice a month for cheeseburgers.
Post-covid, we have them about once every 2-3 months, and I cook them at home. We go out to have burgers maybe twice a year now.
Nice try hamburgler!
You’re on the cheese burgers again. Aren’t you Randy?
Once a week, maybe more depending on the weather. I get a LOT of use out of my grill.
A good burger with healthy ingredients isn’t necessarily "bad" for you. I’m just happy that you recognize it as the quintessential American food. There are literally thousands of different burgers all across the US. Each one has a unique history and is quite literally a timestamp for where our country was in that moment. It’s kind of a shame that of all the awful food Americans eat, the burger was labeled as the worst for you.
A fuck ton especially in the summer burgers on the grill was one of the first foods I started grilling making cheeseburgers is pretty easy and kind of cheap
