[Dexter] How did it take a room full of blood for Dexter to remember what happened to his mother?

r/

Right when he walked in there, those repressed memories just came up. That was the trigger. It wasn’t all the blood he usually sees when working or committing his murders, or even the dismemberments when he disposes of the bodies, not even hearing a chainsaw. Although, I never seen anybody use a chainsaw in person, but there are lots of movies and TV shows that involves such, which apparently didn’t trigger him there either.

I’ve worked in a hospital and I’ve bagged dead bodies before. I could easily do it again. I still assume I’d have a “WTF!?” reaction if I was asked to go bag some corpses and I walked into the room and it was filled from floor to ceiling with corpses.

The normal expected amount of violence/gory stuff is a different experience than being in a room dripping in blood in every possible crevice.
