My wife and I have talked and agreed upon about our divorce. We want to have the easiest filings as possible without having to get a lawyer or attorney involved. My problem at the moment is I live in Illinois and she lives in Canada. The IL easy form doesn’t allow me to choose that my spouse is from another country.
We share no assets. No children. No debt. She’s never lived in the states. Married for less than 2 years.
I’m trying to figure out what forms I could fill out and send to make this as easy as possible. I have no clue what I’m doing and where to start. We don’t qualify for the joint simplified divorce since we both make over 30k.
