every time I sneeze my dog runs to me to see if I’m ok
Dogs also cough. They are also more attuned to and able to read us than any other species by far. So I doubt they’re misinterpreting our coughs.

If your cough sounds like a bark, seek out your PCP(primary care physician). Barking cough, or seal bark cough, is a sign of Pertussis or aka Whooping Cough. Usually, it affects small children and the elderly, but anybody can get it.
Otherwise no, or at least my wife’s dog could care less if I do. We don’t like each other. My cat will not leave my side if she thinks I don’t feel well.
My dogs bark at every cough and sneeze
My dogs look at me crazy when I cough sometimes. I have asthma.
Mine don’t pay attention. Now if I am play barking, I can work them into a tizzy. That’s fun and we usually end up howling. Coughing though, naw.
I dunno but when our dog farts she first looks at us like we did it. Then she whips her head to her rear, sniffs and is like “Oh… oops!…that was me”
My dog just ignores it and keeps reading the newspaper.
