Do I have a leg to stand on here?

r/

I got hurt at work in a hospital due to a nurse letting her IV medication run onto the floor and not cleaning it up, she knew it was leaking well before hand, and tried to blame the aides on the unit (including me) for disconnecting the IV (I was not aware that there was a mess on the floor).I fell and got hurt pretty bad and now it’s looking like I’m going to have to take a leave of absence at the very least. I don’t know what to do but this nurse is dangerous and has made many sketchy decisions in the time of her travel contract with us.

Is workers comp covering your injuries?

So, you work there? Hopefully you filled out an incident report for your injury. This is a worker’s compensation issue.

If you feel the nurse is a danger, take your (, hopefully documented) complaints to your human resources department.

This isn’t at the level of needing a lawyer just yet.

Are you wanting to directly sue the nurse or what is your actual question? Your medical treatment and time off work should be covered by worker’s compensation
