To give more information, My dad died when I was 15 and so I ended up living with my grandpa and my grandpa ended up dying a year later. My grandpa didn’t have a will so the will would be distributed by NC state laws because that’s where I live. My grandpa had an estate worth 120,000 and they ended up selling a little bit after the time I was 18. My question is since I was 18 whenever they sold the estate, would I have a legal claim to some of the money or since he died before I was 18 I don’t get anything?
