Do I have enough to legally break my lease / Fight potential eviction [FL]

I have lived in my current apartment for over two years, never once have been late on rent. In April of this year, my apartment began having a pretty awful roach problem but my apartment was doing monthly pest control sprays and I was buying my own treatments as well. As of May 2025, it progressed to a full blown infestation. I submitted my first portal request that month. The problem is now at an all time extreme. Seeing dozens of roaches in bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, pantry, and even inside of our dishwasher and coming out of wall outlets.

June 2025 I submitted an emergency portal request with attached photos of traps filled to the brim with roaches and specifically outlined our lease says the apartment handles pest control and the issue is severe. Each month (May & June) all we received was an additional pest control spray that month.

As of this month (July) there has been no improvement and I sent an email with a 7 day notice to cure. The apartment manager acknowledged via email that our requests fell under the cracks and she wasn’t aware of how severe it was. She said she needed to do a walkthrough, I’m assuming to make sure I don’t live like a hoarder, which I do not.

I sent an email today requesting the day and time she would be coming and to ask what exactly the walkthrough would accomplish since no other pest control measures have been mentioned or as far as I know, scheduled and she has yet to respond.

July 21st marks the seven days and I would like to leave. I obviously do not want the apartment to file an eviction and will respond in writing if that’s what it comes to.

Just curious if it seems I have done my due diligence in being able to break my lease without penalty. I have over a dozen videos this week alone of roaches, as well as the receipts for the money I have continued to spend on my own roach control.
