Hi, 19M
Location: England
Recently got a new job as a fish mongerer (not been offered a contract yet but conformation over text) that I start this Thursday.
Last week, I offered to work Monday if they need any help and they agreed. Just yesterday, I was taking out a bin at work and someone left glass of some sort in the bottom of the bag and as I lifted it up it impaled me just above my ankle. This has fucked up my transition as I’m going to miss tomorrow’s shift (monday) as it involves heavy lifting and walking.
Should I pursue compensation from my old employer?
I had an xray and everything and the glass is so deep in my skin they’re gonna have to use a ultrasound surgery of some sort to remove it.
What do?
Thank you.
