I’m learning Spanish and watch Disney movies in Spanish to learn but I miss the original voices. Has it ever annoyed you to not have the original voices on an English movie? (I am talking specifically about anyone who watches the movies in Spanish instead of English, especially if you are not very fluent in English and can’t understand the movie otherwise.)

Unfortunately, here in Mexico, younger generations watch everything dubbed into spanish. I remember when I was a kid, most english-language movies and TV shows were subtitled, but that’s changed a couple of decades ago.
I do find it very annoying to have to watch a movie dubbed into spanish instead of its original language. But oddly enough, the opposite happens with animated films and series. In that case, I 100% prefer the spanish version with Latin American voices.
I always watch movies in whatever the original language is, I can’t stand dubbed movies. This seems to be a greater problem in Germany than in Argentina, where you get movies in the original language more often.
I grew up watching The Simpsons in Spanish so I was weirded out by the original voices when I immigrated to the U.S.
Marge’s voice was the most shocking to me.
Then the reverse happened. Whenever I watch The Simpsons in Spanish I feel like the original ones are infinitely better.
I prefer dubbing in older movies. Don’t know if it’s a personal taste but I think the dubbing in the 90s and before that was a lot better. There were a lot of voice actors that I really liked and some sounded familiar every know and then.
But I prefer the original voices in recent movies.
I mean you don’t miss what you never heard. I now watch everything in English ( or original language ), but most Disney channel or Nickelodeon shows I watched as a kid were dubbed in Spanish. So every time I’ve tried having a nostalgic watch on streaming services, I get weirded out by their English voices.
