yes, drip coffee made with good beans made for it is way tastier than espresso. Espresso is nice because its concentrated so you can get the caffine faster though.
Been exposed to espresso since the 90s was a barista in the early 00s still prefer drip coffee 🤷♂️

We have all sorts of coffee from terrible to revelatory. But talking strictly American diner style coffee in the big carafes, it depends on the place. Those that take care will put a new pot on if it’s been kept warm too long. Those that don’t take care will heat all of the goodness out of it.
Yes. Drip coffee and espresso are just different preparations. Some people will prefer one over the other just like some people prefer French press or pourover or Turkish coffee.

Drip coffee and espresso are two different products. “Coffee” is real coffee and “espresso” is real espresso. A lot of people like both and will choose one over the other depending on mood, time of day, occasion.
