I don’t know how long I’ve had this phenomena but certain things make my ear give off a reverberating muffled sound, very quietly.
Most notably at times I’ll see a spider crawling on the wall and my ear will do this until the spider is out of my vision. I’m not scared of spiders, unless they’re on me, so I don’t think it is a fear response. I’ve also had this happen with mosquito hawks just by seeing them.
I have also felt this when hearing certain frequencies like when I used to be around CRT TVs more often, or just from various things on the streets.
Often it is in a single ear but I can’t currently remember if it’s happened in both.
Does anybody else get this?

So I think the sound is your blood pressure increasing and you’re hearing your heartbeat in your ears 😉
Does the sound coincide with your pulse beats?
