Oh, I get it. Sometimes, I fantasize about running into the wilderness, where emails can’t chase me. But let’s be real, can you imagine saying goodbye to indoor plumbing and good Wi-Fi? I’d probably end up whining more about having to use a leaf as toilet paper than enjoying the sunset. It sounds cool until your phone battery’s dead and all you have left are squirrels for company, judging you for packing granola bars instead of learning how to catch food.
If I weren’t diabetic and dependent on getting insulin from a pharmacy. I would have abandoned society 10 years ago to live in the woods, off grid with just my dog. I already have most of the needed skills/experience.

Sure – that’s when I schedule my next vacation. Shout out to southern Utah, my favorite place to wander off-grid.
So much so that I moved to the southwest so I can do it all the time.
It’s called section hiking and through hiking.
