Does anyone know of something to help sunburn that’s not aloe?

r/

Okay so basically I got really sunburnt and I absolutely hate aloe and the consistency of it. Like I would rather be in pain and peeling than use it. Like hate it with a passion. So is there anything else that could help it that’s not like super slimy? Thanks I’m advance

Maybe moisturiser? I use this spray for sunburns, it has aloe Vera in it but it’s not sticky at all and you can find it at your local drugstore.

I used to use Noxema when I tanned back in the day. It worked so good and had a nice smell too. 😊

I’ve used hydrocortisone before. But like any other cream or ointment, it’ll feel oily til it absorbs into your skin all the way.

Vitamin E gel or lotion helps a lot too with sunburn.

    Desitin (sp?) diaper rash cream.

White wine Vinegar (trick from grandma in law) actually worked for me. Also men’s shaving cream (obviously you have to rinse it off)

Maybe ask your dermatologist or physician!

Put a bunch of tea bags, like 10 family size or 20 small or so, ( the regular kind you’d make a glass of tea with) into a tub full of hot water. Let it steep. When it’s cool enough soak until you’re pruny. Do NOT get in when the water is still hot! The tannin in tea will help heal the burn. If you don’t have a tub you can make it in a pot and then soak cloths in the tea, let cool, and place all over the burn, but soaking a in a tub would work better.

White vinegar, the kind you have in your kitchen to use for salad.

Smells … like vinegar! but it will soothe your burn.

My grandma taught me this and it works. Seep tea in room temperature water for 10 min. Dip a wash cloth in it and let it sit on your skin. Draws out the heat and brings down redness. Feels really good on your skin as well.

I always found ice cold showers help takes the heat out of your skin

There’s the silver-based burn cream you can buy at a pharmacy (at least in the US). it’s good stuff.

    Ibuprofen takes the heat out

Wipe yourself down in vinegar. It’s going to hurt for a couple of minutes, but it will pull the heat out of your burn. Smelling like a pickle is worth the relief.

    Calamine lotion.

In burn icu we covered most superficial burns in antibiotic ointment and petroleum gauze. You want to create a thick barrier on the burn to lock moisture in and as a barrier against the external environment
