I live alone and literally never close my bathroom door. I don’t have a window in there or any ventilation, so the best way to air out the bathroom – especially when it steams up after a shower – is to keep the door open so that air from the window in the next room can circulate.
When I was a kid, my dad thought it was hilarious to burst through the door when I was pooping and point and laugh at me on the toilet. Out of habit, I close and lock every door behind me, whether I think I’m alone or not.

I close the door just because of the smell. I don’t need to smell that once I’m done with it. I also use air freshener even tho I live alone.
