Politics, natural disasters, etc.. On one hand, I understand the world is fucked up. On the other hand, doesn’t it get tiring? Do you never burn out from it all? I don’t want to ignore things and not fight back, but sometimes I need a break. I don’t want to hear bad news every day, especially if there’s nothing I can do about it. I’m sick of checking text or social media to find piles of bad news. I can ask them to take a break from it for a bit, but they eventually go back to literally spamming the place with shit.

When I started posting about politics and things going on that were important to me in the news, especially on Oct 7 after learning about Gaza, I lost a lot of followers on my ig. I didn’t really care to even find out specifically who unfollowed me, if they don’t want to engage in content like that with a friend online, I totally understand. I was actually kind of glad because I want people in my life with a moral compass who care about things that are affecting the world. We can share things online and have meaningful conversations and then we can also share funny memes and talk about pop culture in the media too.
Some people like to complain about their lives and what’s happening to them. They don’t seem to notice that it’s annoying. You also have the do gooders who come along who commiserate with them.
Every person wants attention, and that’s how these people do it. I usually don’t look at their posts and let them whinge. In the long run, they aren’t doing any harm. If you’re annoyed with them, you stop reading the posts
