I have two, and only two criteria for underwear:
–Must be invisible under leggings.
–Must stay COMPLETELY out of my butt at ALL TIMES.
Every pair of underwear I have owned fails at least one of these criteria. Every. Single. Pair.
The closest I have come to underwear nirvana is laser-cut briefs, BUT within a few months they get loose and start fleeing up my crack at the slightest movement.
I’ve tried boxer briefs from Woxer, and while they’re comfortable, they tend to bunch up under leggings. I wear a lot of leggings for working out and can’t just wear looser pants instead (aerialist).
I am so tired of picking wedgies and adjusting and readjusting and unbunching. I don’t know if it’s just the way I’m shaped, or if 21st century underwear technology is somehow not advanced enough. I really don’t like the feeling of going commando, but I might have to embrace that life…
Any and all recommendations appreciated! Please help a sister and her sensitive cheeks out.

Have you tried Soma invisible edge ones.
Lululemon laser cut?
Maidenform microfiber boy shorts. I like the cotton ones but they might show under leggings.
Have you tried sizing up?
What about a seamless short like these ones – I think Bonds are launching in American shortly if they haven’t already.
Seamless underwear inevitably end up up your crack, IME.
Can you not just go commando under the leggings? At least then you’re only having to contend with regular pants, which are much more forgiving re: panty lines.
I like evry underwear but they’ll def show under leggings. They’ll be fine for regular jeans and slacks.
I also have the “up the butt” problem. Do you have a small waist compared to your hips? I have embraced the commando life. Once you get used to it, it is so much more comfortable.
Soma vanishing edge or vanishing tummy. The vanishing tummy has a bit more fabric which I like, but they stay put, and are invisible under almost every pair of leggings I own. And most importantly , they’re comfortable. IMO they are true to size. I am partial to their high leg cut bc I have thick thighs and they feel less granny panty.
They’re pricey but they last. I wash and dry them in the dryer and they still last for years.
Go commando under leggings. It’s the only way. I own probably 12-15 pairs so i only wear them once before washing.
Athleta ritual undies – I have the same problems and these are amazing.
I see people recommending the Soma vanishing edge and I also tried these but I can’t tolerate the silicone strips on the butt all day.
Unless you commit to standing in only one position from here on out, undies will move around and may end up in the crack.
Try full coverage undies.
TC Fine Intimates Wonderful Edge. I love them. They also pack down tiny so they’re good for travel. The Soma vanishing edge ones look similar but I haven’t tried them. It would be nice to know how they compare.

The Aerie Smoothez Boyshort underwear are my holy grail. Super comfy, they never ride up and they don’t show when I wear leggings. Plus they aren’t ridiculously priced.
I don’t wear underwear under leggings.
I make my own! Once you’ve got the pattern to fit you, no going back, it’s easy and you can choose any fabric you like!
