Does this sound like he likes me or we’re just really good friends?

r/

I’m in my early 30s and have a male coworker in his late 50s. We’re friends and he’s single/divorced. We get along really well and the odd time he’ll call me at the end of the week after he’s had a couple of drinks. That’s only happened three times but the most recent time, we talked for three hours. We mostly talk about work and personal issues and he seems to like to talk when he’s feeling stressed. We were on the phone and he used the bathroom while we were talking (I just heard the toilet flush) but we were laughing really hard at that because it was unexpected. And then he was falling asleep talking to me. I was the one to end the conversation

He also went out of his way to get me a gift at work. They were auctioning something and he got something for me as a housewarming gift. Another coworker joked that was him making a move but I think he was doing something kind.

The thing is, we’ve hung out alone together before but nothing has happened. Could it be
possible he just likes and trusts me as a friend?

He might have a little crush on you but realizes the nearly 30 year age difference is too much.

If he does he’s being really respectful and responsible for cultivating a friendship first.

The question really is, are you interested in being MORE than a friend? If so, let him know. If not, just continue to enjoy the friendship.

No man who is interested in a woman is going to let her hear a toilet flushing while he is on the phone with her. No way. Alcohol was involved. He is so comfortable with you, too comfy. You are definitely in the Ye Ole Friend Zone. He’s just not that into you. 🤷‍♀️
