    Zariel may qualify?

But usually, demons and devils are made out of negative energy, so for most of them, it isn’t possible.

Historically, no, because their alignment is baked into their nature. See this section from the 5e PHB:

    Alignment in the Multiverse
For many thinking creatures, alignment is a moral choice. Humans, dwarves, elves, and other people can choose whether to follow the paths of good or evil, law or chaos. According to myth, the gods who created these folk gave them free will to choose their moral paths.

Alignment is an essential part of the nature of celestials and fiends. Both types of creatures are associated with metaphysical planes of existence—specifically the Outer Planes—that embody certain alignments. For example, most devils hail from the Nine Hells, a plane of lawful evil. A devil does not choose to be lawful evil or tend toward lawful evil, but rather it is lawful evil in its essence. If it somehow ceases to be lawful evil, it changes into something new—a transformation worthy of legend.

I believe older versions explained it more based on positive and negative energy as the materials they were made of. However, I think there may have been some more recent changes, along with the big retconning of the whole concept of races in the last few years, and this is no longer entirely the case. I’ve not read the newer sources for a number of reasons so I can’t answer properly with those changes, but I suspect that it might now work a bit more like it does in Pathfinder.

I think as a general rule, if it IS possible, it results in them becoming non-demons. Since they’re formed from the firmament of the Lower Planes, they’re pretty much an evil thought (like “fuck the houses, burn the women, pee on the remains” or “I’ll put it in the fine print and they’ll never notice” or something like that) manifested in corporeal form.

I’m pretty sure there was a reformed demon in some DnD-based video game and her name was Falls-From Grace or something

It’s been known to happen. K’rand Vahlix is one of the canonical examples.
