Eating dessert after a meal is not very satisfying because you’re often too full to fully enjoy it. Eating dessert first however, is much more enjoyable, and it’s not filling enough to make you lose your appetite for your meal.
(Does not apply to children)

Professional server here: The Best Patrons order dessert first. Generally older customers, always time sensitive – existentially – tickets.
Psychotic post.
You dare challenge the old ways!? Rises in anger from council seat
I wish this were true but my blood sugar begs to differ. Eating fiber first changes how your body digests sugar.
I noticed that as a kid. Always had desert first whenever i could. Always seemed absurd to me to have it last after a meal, and the appetite for it was gone.
It applied to me as a kid.
If it’s not applicable to children then it is detrimental to the meal and you’re banking on adults knowing better and having better self control to consume dessert in moderation. Which invalidates the whole point of dessert before a meal being harmless.
Ever heard of nutritional crowding out? Some people don’t eat dessert because they eat bigger healthier meals so they don’t have any more space for the unhealthy desserts. The opposite can also apply. so having dessert before the meal means less space for the meal.
Eating dessert instead of a meal works best for me. And too much is never enough.
You know what, fuck dessert
“Does not apply to children” is a curious disclaimer, considering the whole post reads like it was written by a child, or at best an adult clinging to a couple of childish instincts. Eat dessert first? Come on. There’s an entire tradition, across cultures, of building a meal in stages. Hors d’oeuvres, appetizers, salad, main course, then dessert. That order exists for a reason: pacing, balance, satisfaction. Not just catering to a sweet tooth in rebellion mode.
You’re welcome to eat however you want, but maybe don’t pretend upending a centuries-old structure is some universally better idea. Some of us enjoy restraint.
