Lets say you soak a piece of cloth with alcohol or some other volatile liquid, even water. After a while the cloth is dry, the cloth molecules didn’t evaporate.

You will if the juice runs dry, but it’s the same thing as boiling water in a plastic bottle or paper bag, the liquid keeps the cotton from burning
