Some Terrorist back/trained by Pakistan based militants groups (who have tacit support of the Pakistani govt) attack tourist in Kashmir region of India killing around 25-30 who were also made to recite quran scripts or to pull down pants to check for circumcision to check if they are hindu or Muslims (according to witnesses)
This led to cry for blood and revenge by the Indian public and media… The govt calling for retribution.
First steps was cutting off water to Pakistan (Pakistan is downriver from major river systems of the Indus whose sources are in India) diplomatic and economic bans and restrictions.
Pakistan denying it’s involvement while also saying such actions are acts of wars.
Now both Indian and Pakistani military are war posturing.
Risk of full scale war is low due to both being nuclear armed. Might see increase in cross border artillery duels and airstrikes though.
