I know how they feel, because i´ve done both of them. A lot of LSD and a few times Magic Truffles and Metocin.
But why are they so different?
Does LSD hit other receptors or stuff like that?

LSD stimulates certain dopamine receptors and psilocybin inhibits serotonin receptors
In the broadest sense, the largest difference is potency. That is, the active dose of LSD is much lower than psilocin. In addition, there are probably some differences in the receptor binding profile, but these have not been correlated with clinical (human) effects. Both drugs work primarily through partial agonist effects at 5-HT2A receptors.
