When you are hot you sweat to cool your body down. This leaves less water for your body to pee out.

Conversely, if it’s cold and you are sweating less you will have more water in your body to pee out.

The body likes to stay warm. If the body is full of pee, it takes more energy to stay warm. No pee, easier to stay warm

Wait I thought that when your cold, your blood vessels constrict hence lesser blood is on the surface . Lesser blood on surface means lesser blood is exposed to the colder environment. So ofc the blood will go to somewhere else your digestive or your renal system. The renal system works hydrostatic pressure if I’m not mistaken. So if more blood is diverted there then more filtration and formation

I know 2 reasons, feel free to correct any wrong info.

In case you don’t know how pee is made: your kidneys filter out (basically means to get rid of unnecessary things) waste products which, combined with other things like salts and water, makes pee. But your kidneys also need to balance the fluids in your body, so in other words if there’s extra fluids in your body, your kidneys need to get rid of it by filtering it out and having it leave your body by going to the bathroom.

-You’re sweating less in the cold, so those excess fluids are staying in your body rather than being sweated out. Your kidneys then need to work on filtering out this water, so you pee more.

-When you’re exposed to cold temperatures, your blood vessels constrict (get more narrow) and blood flow decreases to the rest of your body because your body needs to use most of the blood to keep your vital organs warm, like your heart. As a result your blood pressure goes up and your kidneys need to filter out the extra fluids, so your bladder fills up quicker.
