EMT lost my father’s wallet and car keys

Location: New Berlin Pennsylvania.

Hello, My father suffered a stroke like episode Friday night. The EMT’s cut his pants off. His wallet and car keys to his Mustang were in his pants at the time. The hospital and EMT staff have no record of those being in his belongings, and can not find any trace of the pants they cut off. My father is basically brain dead after his episode. Are they legally responsible for this?

Unless you can prove that one of the EMTs basically robbed him and are using his cards or the cash in his wallet or stole his car, no. First responders have immunity for things like this that happen as they carry out their duties.
