Or being pissed about a problem, getting pissed is a great first step for creation. The words “there has to be a better way” has taken human to incredible heights. Get angry!

Or an accident. Lots of new discoveries were by accident.

What about cheese? You’re telling me someone dared to imagine that eating spoiled milk would create one of the most versatile types of food in the world?

I agree that some or maybe most, but not everything man-made began like that.

Except for all the times that someone did something wrong and discovered something new without intending it at all.

See the entire invention of Teflon.

in arabic we have a say: need is the mother of invention. and its true, you can imagine something new and invent it sure. but many inventions are also the result of us humans needing something to get passed a problem

Which means technically, traffic lights, nuclear bombs, and inflatable pool flamingos all started with imagination. Beautiful and terrifying.

  12. No_Discount9582 Avatar

Everything man-made began with a man making something, regardless of intention.

Sounds like something Howard Roark would say

One brave soul dared, and now we’ve got WiFi and pizza delivery.

Every new idea enters a universe totally devoted to the old idea.

Everything is mostly about one man obsessed with something and dedicating their life to it.

I have a friend who is an engineer, he Loves concrete to the point he has a collection of various ancient concretes (if you know about roman concrete, well once you meet my friend you’ll know there are hundreds other interesting concrete recipes) and he somewhat dedicated the last 10 years of his life being the expert about concrete.

Apart from a whole bunch of stuff discovered totally by accident

  19. earthgreen10 Avatar

people want money, so they are trying to think of creative ideas that people will want to buy

I was just think about this!! Like…banana?! Who realized how tf to even open it and that we can eat it?!

  21. NSA_in_My_Walls Avatar

So technically, the first imagination was man-made too, in a way. Our brains evolved the capacity for it, shaped by natural selection and stuff. It’s like, nature dared to imagine a creature that could imagine.

  22. No_Hold_9114 Avatar

This sounds like some shitty ass motivational quote you found on a work or science fair poster.

  23. Brooksy789 Avatar

And from that single spark of imagination… came cities, satellites, symphonies, and TikTok. The human mind is a beast.

  24. Life-Expression4542 Avatar

Yes, and then another brave soul dared to imagine a committee to discuss the first person’s daring imagination. That is how we got meetings.

Biology did a great job making curiosity a staple to survival

Just goes to show how imaginative and creative the human race really is. Gotta love it. I don’t think we give ourselves enough credit sometimes.

The curse of the entrepreneur is curiosity and hunger for knowledge until they answered all of their own questions. Money is no object to the inventor.

Much of it to the detriment of the planet and everything on it.
