It was funny at first, but now people say it every time they see someone making a bad choice. So it’s being said almost constantly. I just find that saying “this person made a bad choice” in the snottiest way you can muster EVERY SINGLE TIME you observe that happening is… draining, for lack of a better word. It has the same exhausting energy as those girls in the early 2000s who would say, “why don’t you take a picture? It’ll last longer” every single time they saw someone looking at them.
Edit: some of y’all straight up lying saying you’ve never heard or seen this phrase 💀 do you use this site or not? Bc if you do, you’ve seen it. Seeing it and REMEMBERING IT is a different conversation, admittedly. But you’ve seen it.

Can we add “play stupid games, win stupid prizes” to this
I had to google what you meant by FAFO at first lol
I’m so done with FAFO. It’s like a verbal poison that seeps into every convo, making me wanna scream “FAFO is overused!” in people’s faces
“People say”? I literally never heard of it before, I had to google it.
“This is where the fun begins” is a much better saying for being an idiot and seeing the consequences come their way.
I mean most acronyms run their course and get used way too much…..
I only say it when someone is trying to fuck with me, not when they’re making a bad choice.
I love FAFO and now I’m going to say it even more.
I have no idea what FAFO is.
i’ve NEVER seen anyone “overuse” this or any similar phrases to describe any random mistake. ive only seen it when it’s genuinely warranted. i honestly don’t think it’s as common as this post makes it seem
i didn’t even know what the acronym was i had to google it😭
Just another instance of slang being picked up and beaten to death by…well ifykyk
It’s one thing to have empathy for the misery of our fellow human being. It’s another thing if you make something stupid or irresponsible and try to share and upload that with a narrative repackage in order try and get some kind of validation or clout.
Like… No…
This saying doesn’t bother me, but putting AF after things drives me nuts
Yes we’ve heard of the phrase but you can’t just abbreviate things and never once say wtf you’re talking about.
I hate these types of phrases. The term I’ve heard before and like to use is “community chest phrases”. We all have the internet, all of us are on it too much so we see this shit constantly. So when people continually use these expressions like it’s funny or novel I’m so baffled. It reads like the entire internet is just talking to itself using these recycled words. Just say things that are a creation of your own thoughts and it’ll be Infinitely more interesting than whatever parroted expression you have heard a million times before
Room temperature IQ tough-guys and run-of-the-mill bullies tend to use this phrase a lot as it’s a pithy way to justify their love of cruelty, violence, and condemnation.
The fact that so many people have fucked around and NOT found out is a major issue.
I’ve only seen it used in circumstances where it was warranted
