Falsely accused of Human Trafficking, need to know how validate a Washington Certified Birth Certificate

r/

Location: Washington

I am living in the United Kingdom with my daughter, a few weeks ago a public body to which I supplied my daughter’s birth certificate flagged it as being forged to the police.

As a result I was arrested for Human Trafficking and my baby daughter was taken by Social Services.

they have released on bail several hours later, but I can’t reunite with my child because they set as a bail condition that I can’t be near children unsupervised.

However the birth certificate is genuine and it is a Certified Birth Certificate, which is supposed to be valid for all legal purposes.

I am 100% sure that it is legal because I am the child’s parent and I obtained the certificate directly by walking in to the Spokane Regional Health District office in West College Avenue.

Unfortunately the authorities here doesn’t appear to be very diligent and even though this was reported to them some time ago they haven’t been able to conclude if the certificate is authentic or not.

Apparently they think that it is false because:

– It has barcodes with different values on the front and back

– The fee number field is blank

Does anyone know what would be the case in a Washington State Certified Birth Certificate?

Is there a website that can be used to validate certificates?

Thank you in advance!

Do you have an apostille from the state? Typically, you want an apostille in addition to the birth certificate if you’re trying to use a state document internationally.
