(title typo: signals they’ve started* nationally banning medications they don’t like.)
My kid takes these fluoride tablets because our water is not fluoridated, and the advice we’re given to deal with them being taken away is “stop eating sugar.”
This is a wake up call. They’re federally banning medications that they don’t like. That they think don’t line up with their personal lifestyles.
It’s no longer between you and your doctor, it’s between you and RFK jr’s personal shitlist. And project 2025. (Apologies to my friends in red states who have already had this choice taken away from you).
I can already see what they’re going to say about mifepristone and misoprostol…”Stop having unprotected sex.” I don’t think I need to explain to you all about how birth control isn’t 100% effective, or how SA exists, or how sometimes people aren’t given a choice or informed. Or how these medications have other medical uses (like inducing labor).
While a lot of things can’t be stocked up on, medical abortions are able to sit in your bathroom cuppboard (or a better place away from heat and humidity).
I accidentally got pregnant last year and I got abortion medications from my doctor before deciding I wanted to get it done surgically (great choice for me actually, zero pain.)
I didn’t need to go into the office, I didn’t need to take a pregnancy test or prove I was pregnant. They just prescribed them to me over a virtual visit.
But now I’ve got those meds stored away and I feel better for having them.
Consider stocking up if you can. Not just for yourself but other people in your life who you may be able to help if it comes down to it.

I’m really afraid they’re going to ban childhood vaccines like MMR. I have a 14 week old.
Do not keep medications in the bathroom.
If you want them to last a long time please store them properly.
I want to stock up, as my daughter is currently young. But unfortunately she’s so young .. they’d expire by the time she’s a teen.
Trump apparently makes meds cheaper, but it won’t matter because everything you need will be banned 🫠
I don’t like Trump but this is probably the first really good thing that came to be in this administration.
Fluoride is a neuro-toxicant and is not generally safe for ingestion. There are good reasons that, in the EU, ingested fluoride medications are exclusively available with prescription and prescriptions for these meds are not very common at all. Also why most of Europe has never added fluoride to their water.
The positive effect of fluoride for dental health are already fully experienced with topical use, i.e. toothpaste.
Adding fluoride to drinking water, or giving tablets to children, is effectively poisoning people.
Of course is not *highly* toxic, especially in low dosages, but there really are no good reason it should be sold or put in water, since there is no evidence to be good, only bad.
On this subject, I’ve heard that Costco sells emergency contraception (the day after pill) for about $12 and doesn’t require a membership for using their pharmacy.
Walmart sells the off brands for 7-15 dollars a pack, pay with cash.
That and probably hormone meds are on the list, since they both help trans people transition, and women going through menopause, among other things. Ugh.
