I rarely smoke weed, maybe two or three times a year. A few days ago I smoked a hash joint with some vodka and it completely messed me up. That night I had a full-blown episode with intense panic, confusion, and a feeling like I was losing my mind.
Now it’s been 4 days and I still don’t feel normal. I feel like I’m on autopilot, like I’m here but not really present. I also have vertigo, as if the ground is shifting or I’m about to fall over. Walking feels weird and standing for too long makes me feel unstable.
I’ve had some mild dizziness before but nothing like this. Whatever happened that night seems to have made everything worse and I’m honestly scared this won’t go away.
Has anyone been through something similar after smoking weed or hash?

Could have been laced with something else. Best bet is a dr to make sure it’s nothing serious.
This happened to me, by chance are you on any meds? Unfortunately this lasted about a year and a half for me(episodes) but I just had ptsd and derealization from it. But in better news I’m fine now I just never touched weed ever again. If you have any other questions or want tips lmk
i heard cbd counteracts thc and can reverse being high. idk tho never tried it
i’d recommend sleeping it off for a day or two tho
I had a night of drinking and smoking that made me have vertigo for like a year and that may be what you are experiencing with the dizziness etc. My Dr. had me cut weed, alcohol, caffeine, and high salt foods out and that along with doing the eply maneuver made me feel a little better each day and eventually I started working those things back in with moderation. I still can’t drink caffeine anymore without starting to feel the vertigo coming back, but smoke every day and drink once in a while. Not sure if your situation is as bad as mine was, but it was like having the drunk spins every time I moved suddenly. Hope you feel better!
You are just a noob with super Low tolerance, you are feeling a strong weed hangover and thru can last days. Weed is so strong now that people like you should only hit mids. I have had the same feeling you are on “autopilot” because you still feel groggy from the high you need to do a crazy workout and jump your system. If that doesn’t work keep drinking ton of water and go to the doctor.
are you sure. the weed is not mixed?
Yes. I had a bad reaction to it. The feelings do gradually start to fade and get better. I felt like most of that was mentally and emotionally getting confidence in myself and my mind again and that took time but you will get there.
I didn’t suffer vertigo with it (but I have had vertigo) so I would contact you doctor to let them know and they can help give you something to help your symptoms until they pass.
Going forward… I just stayed away from it. Very simply, it isn’t the calm and peaceful drug that some people make it out to be… for some people, it is a living nightmare and for those people, it’s just best to stay away from it completely.
Hope you feel better soon. 🫂🙏🏻
This is called depersonalization, really all you can do is wait it out unfortunately.
Make sure to drink lots of water/ pee a lot.
However it usually helps to surround yourself with people, especially people you care about.
Think about the people that you love, show gratitude for everything you have, and remember that this is not permanent, you will return to your normal self.
Nicotine also helps a bit, helped me stay sane even if for just a few minutes
/r/nothowdrugs works It’s physically impossible for weed to make you feel this way. You are tiny and insecure
I’ve had this with medication interactions (most seriously with a period delaying drug called Norethisterone) luckily I had learned earlier that fresh black pepper will counteract weed and used sniffing it to lower too high highs and eating it to erase the high entirely previous to the event so I knew what to do when it happened. It does suck though and don’t get me started on the med interactions that come with the symptom “impending sense of doom” that’s a scary mofo of a symptom to encounter in that state.
