Im currently in the application process of FHP. Just looking for a couple tips

1: What does the schedule look like?

2: I’m not particular to any area in Florida, but what would be a good area to work in?

3: Is the 28 week academy like basic training. Do they give you ample time to study and rest?

4: Hows does pay compare to the county’s you work with ?

5: If you are in FHP what made you pick them instead of a County or City?

    1. 8, 10, 12 hour shifts
    2. In your agreement, you state you are okay with being placed anywhere in FL per FHP guidelines
    3. FHP 28 weeks is different…paramilitary structure live in academy. You go to class Mon-Friday and you rarely leave for 28 weeks on the weekends
    4. Our county starts at $66,000 for deputies but has some issues
