I used to assume that the Light Warriors were home-grown from Cornelia, not unlike Garland. But based on the dialogue, it seems that the Light Warriors are considered strangers in Corneria, and in every other town for that matter.
So where did they come from? The opening credits claim that they appeared after a “long journey”, but from where? How did they get the crystals that they were prophesized to carry?

Well, there was a poster advertising for some light warriors, and Black Mage, Fighter, Thief, and Red mage fit the bill well enough.
According to the official novelization found in Final Fantasy I II III: Memory of Heroes, they have no memory of where they came from. The four heroes are Setro (fighter), Zauver (thief), Flora (white mage), and Teol (black mage). They see Castle Cornelia in the distance and remember that they are on a long journey, but they don’t know where they came from or what the purpose of their journey was.
While not stated explicitly, it’s implied at the end that they are in an infinite time loop. When they go back in time and successfully defeat Chaos, they return to the beginning of their journey. This results in a never-ending cycle where they appear in the present, defeat the four fiends, go back in time, defeat chaos in the past, then return to the point where their adventure begins with no memory of what they did.
The Dissidia series provides a different explanation of the origin of the Light Warriors. There is only one Warrior of Light, not four, and he was created by Cid of the Lufaine on World B (a world that exists in parallel to the world of Final Fantasy). He is a manikin, essentially an artificial creation, but unlike other manikins, he has independent thought and emotions. He was created during the twelfth cycle (Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy), but when the warriors of Cosmos failed to defeat the warriors of Chaos in that cycle, he survived into the thirteenth and final cycle (Dissidia Final Fantasy). Chaos was defeated in this one, and the warriors of Cosmos were transferred to World A. The other warriors were sent back to the worlds from which they came, but since the Warrior of Light had no other world, he remained there and marched toward Cornelia. From there, we can assume he found three other warriors to join him on his adventure.
Note that Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin might have yet another origin for the Light Warriors, but I haven’t played it yet, so I can’t comment on it.
The tome was created in a faraway land to be shipped oversea to a merchant which sold to a willing buyer with the included receptacle then after a few hours travel, the temple was created with all the shrines attached. The tome is inserted into the receptacle and a button was pushed therefor the light warriors arrived in Cornelia.
