First time going off birth control since I was 14.

r/

I’ve been on the shot from 14-18, and the minipill 18-now. Since my fiancee and I want to try for a baby, I’m going off the pill.

Wish me luck!

I recommend tracking your period and ovulation cycle if you aren’t already! Not sure if your cycle changes if you get off of a hormonal drug.

    Congrats! So excited for you.

Sending lots of baby making vibes your way!!!

Highly recommend charting starting immediately (even as your body adjusts and begins to regulate).

When you’re done with kids tell your spouse about scalpel-free vasectomies. They’re damn near painless and hella effective

I was thinking of going off too. I started at 14 and I’m about to turn 22. During that entire time I’ve only had a period like 8 times? It was continuous pills. But I’m curious how my body will react.

    How exciting! Good luck!

Just a heads up, the shot is not meant to be long term birth control! The FDA recommends not using it for longer than 2 years continuously.
