I’m 30M, I’m a first time offender currently being charged with a first degree misdemeanor for stalking. The stalking charge is against a cop. She also has a restraining order against me too.
My lawyer said they aren’t dropping the charge and said I can take a plea deal or fight it in court. I’m taking the plea deal to the charge but haven’t been told what the state is offering me yet.
As a first time offender with a non violent misdemeanor, what’s the likelihood of me getting jail time? I go back to court July 16, 2025. I’m nervous not gonna lie but any advice is needed. My main concern is jail time, I just want probation.
