For the men in the old people group… do you trim your nether regions?? I’m mid 50’s and have never done that. Just curious about my cohorts.

Bro, you ain’t never got your ball hairs like smashed in the elastic of your drawers? I don’t go bare, but I trim back out of self preservation.
I’be been manscaping for as long as I remember. Probably doesn’t help that I grow hair like a gorilla. But all the women I have dated have said they appreciate it.
Used to.
Never, and imo that’s weird!
I do a little, I’m clumsy so nothing to drastic. I did freak my nephew out one day when he told me I had a long ear hair. Ear and nose hair get a cigarette lighter treatment.
Never.
Gotta cut back the brush.
Wife #2 does. She asked that I do. Totally worth it.
Yes. I use a beard trimmer
53 here. Started trimming about 25-30 years ago when I met my wife.
Not long after, I started shaving my balls and trimming the rest. I’m pure natural blond, so it can be difficult to see, but I love the way it feels bare.
No.
n e v e r
That’s between me and my gerbil Anthony
Mid-50s and have done so for more than 25 years.
Mow the law to make the house look bigger
My wife cuts my hair, all of it, including “down there”
Gay 60 and heck I trim and occasionally shave it all off
Yup, totally. Not a fan of hair down there and I’m not a hypocrite
GF waxes me. Wife doesn’t.
Some have done this for 30 years
I’m 72. My hands shake, so no.
Big nest, little bird. Little nest, big bird
Hell no.
No. I’ve been with the same lover since 1966. She never has, and I haven’t either.
My hubby does. Trim, not shave. Chest, too.
Am f71. When we first met, I discovered his chest hair was 3+ feet long! (He grows body hair really well.) I taught him how to “man-scape,” and he keeps everything he can reach, nice and short.
Yum!
I trim when I might be naked around my wife.
Haven’t trimmed in 8 years.
Got into the habit when I was a distance runner. I am a hairy guy and it helped with chafing. Still does.
I did it once. It itched like crazy until it grew back.
Nope…. Just natural 🙂
Yes, my wife likes it.
69 years old, just like the way it feels
Excellent question. I trim everything but, if I’m feeling Randy, sometimes I’ll go bald as Jesus
My fiancé always has
Yep! I feel it more than anyone else, and I like the way it feels. Washing included.
Yes, have been trimming for years.
That shit can start getting long. I don’t shave it or nothing, just cut it down. Only had to do it a couple times in 10 years.
48 and I’ve been doing it since college. I can’t imagine how hairy your area is
Nobody and I mean nobody, likes hair in their mouth.
Did it once on a dare from my then-girlfriend back in 1989. Been doing it ever since.
Cancer and chemotherapy has made me like a porpoise. No hair anywhere. It’s weird. I’m not sure I like it.
I did once as a young guy and the irritation was not worth it. The natural ends of hair are much less pokey. It was like wearing wool underwear.
Now I just braid it to keep it out of the way.
Please don’t. Signed, a woman
Men are hairy. They are supposed to be. It is one of the things that makes them sexy.
Full bush or go home.
I (75M) “manscape” regularly. My wife pretty much insists and I’m all too happy to oblige.
Nope
The hair was long enough, it was getting caught in the foreskin and the hair worked like a cheese wire – cutting into the foreskin.
It was a bitch to get that to heal.
So yes. Super careful length trimming.
Arsehole shaved for easy washing.
You asked.
My manservant William attends to these affairs. We do not discuss them.
I need the optical inch.
I trim but don’t shave it
Yup. I quick trim down there is all it takes with clippers.
I trim it when the hair grows long enough to be pinchy.
When I was younger. Now, it’s not necessary. I’m going bald, but for some reason not on my head.
Yes, I have a body hair trimmer for that stuff. Then use a hair remover for the shower to get the rest.
Trim it?!? I can barely reach it…
Yes! Off and on for a decade or so, and consistently ‘scaped for the last couple of years. It’s appreciated by the women I’ve dated.
Nope
scissors and safety razor; trim short, shave balls…fo it for me, is more comfotsblr after initial couple days….
Yikes
71 years. Never trimmed any pubes ever. 4 years ago had one side of balzac shaved for surgery to remove basal cell carcinoma. That side never grew back as much as before.
Trim
Phillips OneBlade with short guard. Short enough to be well trimmed. Long enough to not itch. Works great for beards, too.
I normally don’t do endorsements but I’ve had this thing for about 5 years and I love it.
I got shaved down below about 3 different times in my younger years. Once as part of an initiation. One of those dumbass things. I had to shave my privates and right leg, but not the left. And shave a bald strip, front to back across my head.
Another time because I was stupid and mentioned the above incident to my wife and she suddenly got curious what I’d look like bald down below.
Third time I lost a bet with my wife. She was in the mood to get me back for a thing I made her do when she’d lost a bet a week before. These bets we’d do meant you had to do whatever the winner said. Yeah, well she and her best gal pal shaved me everywhere except the top of my head, have me a pedicure and manicure and painted the nails, plucked my eye brows, removed the sideburns, gave me a full makeup job, stuck a wig on my head, put me in a blouse and dress with a stuffed bra and made me go bar hopping with them. THEY thought it was funny as hell. My opinion was somewhat different.
Anyway, those experiences convinced me that shaving below was not something I was going to do again. It itches, and is miserable as it grows back. As far as just trimming, tried it a few times. My wife decided it didn’t really make any difference to her, so I never did it again.
Shaft, balls, taint and up the crack.
I don’t. I offered once but the wife looked at me like I had beans for brains and said that real men don’t do that. She also thinks that real men drive trucks and have facial hair, so I also have a beard and a pickup. I am proud to continue fulfilling her gender expectations.
I’m 55 & I’ve never done it either
Been battery shaving my entire body (including balding head) Since I was about 52/53. I feel so free especially living in a humid country. Thinking of waxing but I have thin sensitive skin in some areas so afraid they would just tear it off. Being hairless is liberating and I feel so much cleaner. I LOVE IT!!!!
Bro you got to keep your hedge trimmed and sharp, that’s kind guy code isn’t it? Your dad wasnt talking about just the plants outside.
As in “mow the lawn”, “trim the shrubbery”? What, are you planning an Only Fans page?
With the same trimmer I use to cut my head hair, and cut the dog’s hair so he can endure summer.
Trim? Yes… Shave? No.
Still don’t, probably never will unless wifee would like it. Keep the facial somewhat presentable, yet never naked.
Sixty-nine years old…no…seen increased interest in this over the past five years…just assumed it was some style, or sexual thing…
Ironically, I didn’t start manscaping until about my 40’s. So many long, scraggly, gray hairs.
Only if my wife asks and helps.
Shave everything from my beard to my toes
Over 50? Just be grateful it still stands up and someone else appreciates it. 😂
Only time mine was trimmed was when I had bypass surgery. Why do they shave your whole body to crack your chest???? If I ever get the opportunity to get naked with a woman again, I’m a widower, I’d seriously consider a trim.
Nether regions? I’m not even Dutch.
Yes. Been manscaping since my 20’s.
Yes, use my Braun shaver.
Bald as a badger downstairs and it’s much appreciated by the wife. There’s also only two recognised ways to make him look bigger. Lose weight or manscape. Manscaping’s easier
Um, no.
Hubby died last yr at 81, never manscaped ever.
I’m in my 60’s, and I’ve been doing that since I was 23. It’s more habit than anything else now.
Wife trims it, still have my dong, so far
55 and nope
Not regularly, but that stuff grows more like weeds now, so sometimes a bit of edge maintenance is necessary.
Yes, periodically. M71
Wife prefers my undercarriage to not look like an elderly homeless mental patient.
There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum. Breathtaking, I suggest you try it.
There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum. Breathtaking, I suggest you try it.
No. When I was married and in my 50’s, My wife and I tried it once.
Sex felt kinda nice. But my god the itching over the next few weeks as the hair regrew was almost unbearable! We never did it again.
I trim if I’m going to be naked around someone so I look like I have a 70’s porn star bush.
I’m 54 and I’ve been trimming it for about 7 years. My wife gave me a Manscaping tool for Christmas and I’ve never looked back.
56 and yep. It just feels cleaner
If you still want your knob polished from time to time, I suggest you get on that.
I did at 55. The wife laughed at me. It itched growing back.
I use my beard trimmer with a 2 guide. In the summer I’ll scortch the earth with some Nair and talc the scrot. Keeps it cool and brisk.
My husband is over 50 and yes. Thank goodness yes.
52 and yes. Every few weeks. It looks unpleasant, can smell in summer, gets in the way and is distasteful to my girlfriend if not.
Mid-50s. I keep things tidy – not shaved but shall we say cropped.
Mid-50s. I keep things tidy – not shaved but shall we say cropped.
I go from complete smooth to a landing strip back and forth
Been shaving my nuts and going commando since I got jock itch when I was 18. Makes a world of difference.
Cohorts? You mean cajones? What do you mean you’re curious about your cajones, dawg? In what way?
No
Well, ABSOLUTELY stay away from your next wife’s Bushwhacker is that, and you might not leave the squirrel with the full compliment of external genitalia with which you entered it!
No
I use Nads depilatory crème on the ball sac. They don’t recommend it but I’ve never had any irritation from it.
Did you guys ever think 45 50 years ago when you were hiding somewhere reading penthouse form that one day you’d be writing a comment on something called the internet about shaving your balls. I know sure I didn’t. That didn’t happen till I was about 40 and still do. Makes those bj’s just that much better.
What the hell? Trim my nether regions?? Of course I trim there, I don’t want to waste time having my honey pick hair out of her false teeth do I? No I don’t! I got no time for that, beside my erection won’t last that long!
Damn dumb questions, get off my lawn!
Yes. My wife likes my balls to be smooth and silky. Her reasoning works for me.
Nope, never, but I’m hairy all over so I’d feel a bit daft.
Also – I’m the only one seeing it these days, so the extra effort feels like it would be a waste
Used to wax but shit hurts worse now then was 30, but clean there at the moment thanks to a 20 something nurse since had a procedure.
I am 58 and haven’t done it in the last 20 years
I’m 62 and yes have been since bout 30 I don’t shave anything but my face but trim everything up to a short level , maybe bout 1/2″
My x did that. He was in his 50s. Thought it felt fresher that etc
Did you ask your partner? I prefer trimmed for myself and my partner.
100%. I have for years. Work outside and just makes for better hygiene I have. Ever liked a beard either Smooth as a baby’s bottom
74M here. I have always wanted to maintain a neat nether regions. Never found a good solution until I bought The TrimsMen. Absolutely no gouging, cuts or bruises. Smooth as a baby’s butt .
The only problem is, my belly hangs over so far. I have a hard time seeing what I’m doing.
Ever since my vasectomy 15 years ago. Both are amazing decisions.
The modern trimmers they make now work great. I have never harmed my nether regions.
My girlfriend trims mine. I don’t mind and she seems to enjoy herself.
I don’t think it became a big thing with men until around the year 2000. That means I went over 30 years without a thought in my head of ever taking a razor down there. I figure that if I could go that long without caring, it’s just not something I’m interested in. Wife told me she doesn’t care so, nope, never have.
48 and yes I keep it trimmed.
used to when I was bumping uglies regularly. Now at 65, I’ve gone “natural”. 😀
In the spring, before my first trip to the nude beach.
Completely shaved front and back every time I shower
55 Trimmed not shaved.
I’ve manscaped since my 20’s when a girlfriend mentioned it. It’s always just stuck with me
Yep. Been trimming since my 20s
At my age I trim everything. Eyebrows, ears, shave the head, neck, remove the back, mow back the chest, totally scape the naughty bits.
The only parts that don’t get hair reduced is arms, legs, and pits.
I’ll tell the story, it’s a pretty good one. I was at a party maybe 10 years ago. I was kind of a token hetero at a friends mostly gay party. I’m in the basement mixing a drink and chatting with a guy I didn’t know. Somehow the topic of gays and manscaping came up. He took a deep breath and said
“Chasonreddit, I don’t care if you are old or young, gay or straight, man or woman. Ain’t no one wants to suck on a cactus.”
I am unable to poke any holes in his logic.
Never done it and won’t. I don’t think women should either. It’s a dumb fad that will probably become essential at some point, but it’s completely unnecessary.
No, never. If you have a good body hygiene there is no need for that. If you walk around in speedos I understand you want to keep your hairstyle in order, but I don’t walk around in speedos.
Yup, I think they appreciate a tidy garden
56 and if I’m single, yes, but if I’m in a relationship, no
Never done it in my 75 years
Yes, from my head to my toes, I’m tidy all over.
I do
57 and bought a trimmer with guards to protect myself from nicks and cuts. Definitely don’t go bare but I keep it pretty close.
Thin the herd every few weeks, keeps it tidy and wife happy, which keeps me happy.
I’m so used to it now I can’t imagine growing hair back again.
I’m 59 and have been shaving my entire body for 40 years. Everyday in the summer or on vacation and every 3rd day or so in the winter. I get my back waxed and my eyebrows done also.
I can’t stand body hair. My wife and I are as smooth as dolphins.
Hair trimmer with a #2-3 guard. Get that brush trimmed.
i use a manscaper, then shave with bic twin select razors and edge ultimate shave gel. that edge stays with you longer than others, imo.
the biggest problem is patience. cmon, you know we guys just wanna hack the hair off and get it over with. but taking your time and doing it intentionally makes a huge difference from, “oh, i think ill hack the lawn up, today. lets see, oh and the gym, and car wash, and, then ill shave. with reduced attention span. then wonder why your nuts are bleeding.
Yup. Hair free for a decade now. When u started dating after my wife’s passing most of the women I slept with were bare with a couple groomed with a tight landing strip. I cleaned myself up and it was well received. Down side is you go a couple of days without shaving it gets itchy
Yes .
It cuts down on sweating.
I trim with scissors to keep it low, but never shave
67 first trimmed it over 50 years ago and been doing it ever since. Even gone completely bare down there a few times.
Also pits.
Yes. Absolutely. 59
If you’re mid 50’s and have never done it, it must be a jungle down there. If you like and your partner likes, don’t do anything. If not, get a trimmer with a guard. You can choose whether you go so far as to (carefully, and with much lather) razor the scrotum and around the base of the shaft, or just keep the grounds around the playing field neat.
yes. been doing it since the 90s.
Eons ago a guy I hooked up with got all mischievous and suggested we shave each other. Very much a trust exercise! lol
But a spot in the centre of my fupa never grew back. I’m smooth as a baby’s bottom there. And over the years, my pubes have naturally thinned out so there’s really not much left to trim.
Cutting the grass makes the tree appear larger, as it were..
Yes
Nope. Never.
Gotta keep it trimmed. Grooming is important.
nair. wife hates pubes when swallowing.
