Nothing frustrates me more than when my company announces “free workshops” for “employee growth,” but in reality, it’s just a way to keep us occupied.
Instead of actually helping us improve our skills or advancing our careers, these workshops are filled with generic content that we’ve heard a thousand times. It’s like they think we’ll be grateful for the “opportunity” to attend something that’s barely useful.
How about investing in real training programs? How about offering us the tools and resources that can genuinely help us grow? Maybe even some flexibility in our schedules to take courses that actually matter.
But no, instead we’re stuck in another boring session where the only thing we learn is how to nod politely while checking the clock. Honestly, I’d rather have the time to work on something meaningful than sit through these pointless workshops.
People argue, “But it’s free!” Yeah, I get that, but I’d rather they save the time and effort and just give us something of actual value instead of wasting it on fluff.

Free workshops as in there are ones that aren’t free?? I expect to be paid to go to training
I don’t think that is an unpopular opinion with anyone but disconnected management reptilians.
