Personally, what did you to gain confidence/push yourself to get the ball rolling? How did you establish yourself as an expert in your field?
Business wise, what advice would you give for those in the early stages of the self-employment and consultant process?

My woman friend started as a virtual bookkeeper and within 3 years turned into a Fractional CFO advisor/consultant.
She says:
Stop caring what others think! It’s all about vocal tonality, body language, and practicing being assertive. Whether it’s initially in front of the mirror, or in everyday life..
Create strong beliefs about yourself, and use unapologetic action to complement your beliefs.
It’s okay to make mistakes; embrace them like a growth-oriented leader and keep moving forward.
Edit:
She also says, bookkeeping is easy to get into — and she started to become a trusted advisor, and clients started asking her more and more questions, which gave her more experience to take a role as a CFO
You’ll never feel ready, so it’s better to boldly step into the unknown NOW, rather than later.
You can take a very long time to get things rolling, or you can go zero to 100 when you want to, it’s up to you.
Your zero to 100 is also how you define it.
