Frozen pizza heated up in the oven is better than most fast food chain pizzas.

r/

The quality of chained pizza has gone so down hill the last 10 years it’s insane Pizza Hut dominoes papa johns all used to be staples but now their food is just honestly terrible. It has the consistency of cardboard, overpriced, and it just doesn’t taste the same.

Give me a good frozen pizza like a California pizza kitchen frozen one or any brand pizza and heat it in the oven and it tastes miles better than the crap most fast food pizza chains are serving.

Don’t even get me started about little Ceaser’s it’s not even edible by the time you make it home. Yes it’s cheap but the quality is horrendous.

Yeah I get its frozen pizza but it cost me 3-6 bucks to buy that pizza instead of paying 15-25 bucks for a pizza from out that taste like a cardboard box. I’ll take frozen pizza any day heated up over any fast food chained pizza restaurant.

I’m with you there. I’m lucky because my city has lots of good independent pizza places, but compared to most of the chains, I’d much rather a nice frozen Wild Mike’s or even DiGiorno.

    Totinos uber alles.

I know my poor white trash is showing but I would take a Totino’s over any of the puzza chains.

Depends on the frozen pizza. Lotzza Motzza/Freschetta? Absolutely. Jacks/tombstone/red baron? No, thank you.

Can’t argue with this. Totally agree.

Motor city frozen pizza is great for someone who moved to FL from nyc… as far as it’s better than Pizza Hut, dominoes and some local spots

Homemade pizza with a stone is better than either of your options and is also far cheaper. You get fat real quick though.

Frozen pizza is horrible…..maybe I haven’t tried the right brand of frozen pizza but as a child of immigrants my parents tried to give us westernized food while also saving money and frozen nuggets, frozen fries, and frozen pizza have always been terrible to me it just tastes like school cafeteria food.

As for fast food chains my friends and I lived completely off dominos this school year because there was one in our dorm building and it’s great I never got tired of it and had it prob 3 times a week. Pizza 73 and Pizza Hut are also pretty good. However I do find the smaller shops are top tier pizza for me like the random stores in the middle of some shopping centre are the best ones

I have two good pizza places near me, one overpriced, but I’m with you on this one.

DiGiorno Thin Supreme, Screamin Sicilian, plenty of pretty damned good frozen options out there. I have mixed feelings about the various products of all of them, but I feel that’s like most things….some of them from a maker are good, some aren’t as good.

Totally agree. Walmart’s Bettergoods brand has some absolutely banger.  (Not an ad I’m just a Walmart simp)

I guess, but a freschetta is like $8 or $9 now. So the price point is about the same

    Imean for the price sure

I’ve never had a frozen pizza that holds a candle to any pizza joint

I can’t agree with this. No matter what I do at home, frozen pizzas either come out soggy or inedibly overdone. At least ordering from a national chain in getting solid, consistent pizza

Depends on the chain. I’ll probably get shamed for this, ai love pizza hut. But it’s mostly their breadsticks

  17. ztgarfield97 Avatar

The only thing that frozen pizza is better for is price point. Otherwise hot and fresh is normally better

Frozen pizzas are ok, but they don’t beat a fresh Pizza Hut or Papa Johns in my opinion.

  19. skydaddy8585 Avatar

Some of them are good but change the oven to an air fryer and your frozen pizzas will be even better.

Why does everyone hate domino’s so much? I get it all the time and I think it’s delicious. Do I just happen to live near the best domino’s in the world?

My partner got me the TMNT cookbook for Valentine’s. Figured the pizza would suck, but it was treated like crack.

    Real talk

The chain stuff is so bland now that a properly cooked Red Baron or Uno’s is much better lol

Believe it or not pizza hut was fire in 80s.

The timing of this post is so weird. On a trip with my fiancé and her family, we were about to order pizza but it was $90 for 3 pies so we’re on a run to get frozen pizzas lmaooo good timing, but I absolutely agree with you. More affordable sometimes and just as good if not better

Thing i hate most about restaurants is they do not understand sauce levels. Their normal sauce is drowning the pizza making it soggy as shit. But if you ask for light sauce to compensate for this excessive behaviour you basically get the rubbings of the back side of the ladle for ‘hint of sauce’ to the point youre not even sure they used sauce.
