Wife and I are 21 days away from closing on our house and I withdrew funds from my 401k into our joint checking account for down payment etc.
She had a previous judgment order from her previous marriage on a repossessed vehicle easily 8 years ago. In their divorce from what I’m being told was the repossession was to be split 50/50 but he’s filed for bankruptcy I’m guessing.
Today over 30k was placed on hold by the attorney/bank who knows because my bank won’t tell me since it’s a judgement. Holidays weekend, banks closed until Monday. I know it’s a joint account but the funds were 100% from my employment 401k. She’s a stay at home mom with no financial income.
Do I have any recourse of recouping these funds?
