As I become older, I am now realizing that conservative beliefs of gender roles are simply designed so women get the short end of the stick.
Think about it- cooking, cleaning, and doing the laundry are basic adult skills that should not be categorized by gender. If you ask me, if someone refuses to do these things it makes them incompetent.
Imagine being a grown man and not being able to keep your space clean or make a simple meal. You always need a woman at your beck and call as if she is some maid. Whether that be a significant other or you mom.
Gender roles were designed for women to literally have endless labor because let’s be for real, house work never ends. Especially if you have kids to take care of on top of that.
