Georgia- created a math equation and calculator that saved the company millions

Asking for my husband, he works at a large company and recently developed a math equation that no one else can do and made a calculator for it so others can use it. For ONE project he saved the company $400,000 dollars and has helped on other projects. His supervisor said thank you and that he’d find a way to thank him. He developed the method and the calculator on company time. My question is, what are our rights as far as fair compensation considering the cost saved for the company due to something only my husband could have done.

None really, he performed a work function on work time. It’d be nice, but legally not entitled to anything but his paycheck.

Your rights are to get whatever your husband’s normal salary is each month/year. Anything else is discretionary.
