So the Grim Reaper is feeling a little overwhelmed with his workload and is looking for some apprentices he can offload some of his quota onto. He’s offering you $10k a day to be responsible for 10 contracts. Each morning, Death will ask you if you want to take the contracts. If you decline, then your employment is terminated, you keep any money you’ve earned, and Death won’t bother you again (until he’s ready to pick you up). If you accept, you’re handed the 10 contracts and you must complete them by the end of that day. You don’t get to see the contracts ahead of time.
While on the job, you have near godlike powers to complete your duties, but their usage comes with two rules. One, they must result in someone dying. Two, they must be consistent with the laws of nature. For example, you can have lightning strike someone down, but you can’t do it if it’s an otherwise clear, sunny day. The allowed exception is that while you are working, you exist in an invisible and undetectable state, like a spirit, and may teleport around the world as needed to complete your work.
As part of your duties you must shepherd the deceased spirits into the afterlife. This requires you to stay at the location of their death for approximately 30 minutes to answer their questions and observe the reactions of the people who are there. This means a good six hours of your day are going to be dealing with people going through grief and coming to terms with loss.
Completion of the list is crucial to maintain balance in the universe. If you fail to collect a soul, or collect souls that were not meant to be taken, then your own soul will be forced to endure 10,000 years of torment for the trouble you’ve caused.
Keep in mind, some assignments will be “easy” (old people already on their deathbeds) while some will be difficult (otherwise healthy young people). You don’t get to pick and choose what seems fair, you just have to complete the list.
Are you up for the job? How many days do you think you could keep it up?

Nah, as a Christian, God wouldn’t like that
I’d channel the version of death from the Gaiman universe. She’s kind.
I picked my username after the character from Sandman (before Neil Gaiman was outed as awful).
I’d do it.
These people are going to die anyway. The best I can do is hold their hand by the end and offer a little kindness. Death would appear as a friend rather than someone scary.
I would do it for a couple months. Also throwing out there that 10 deaths is < .007% of the number of people that die every day, definitely not crucial.
