GF (29f) has a friend that told me (35m) she was getting some pasta during a trip. Any ideas on what that means?

r/

Ok, I have a question. It’s not a huge deal, but I just want to confirm that my gut is wrong and crowdsource. So, a few months ago, my gf went on a bachelorette trip with her girls. While on the trip, one of her close friends randomly FaceTimes me from my gf’s phone, while this friend is pretty wasted. She was on the deck of the house they’re in and I don’t see my girl anywhere nearby. Keep in mind, I’d never spoken to this friend before, just heard things about her. So she’s talking to me and saying she’s so happy to meet me etc. I’m saying what’s up but as I haven’t spoken to my girl the whole trip, I was a little thrown off by the random FaceTime. During the call, I’m in a store with bad service so I ask if my girl is around so I can say hello. I’d intended to not speak to her much since it’s a girls trip/bachelorette, but since her friend called, I figure she would come to the phone. I ask and she tells me, “oh she’s
Inside getting some pasta pasta…” they had bad service and the phone just cut out shortly after. For some reason, based on the way the rest of communication went that week, (when I finally did get her on FaceTime – she FaceTimed me the last day – she was super weird and cold with me) I just couldn’t shake the feeling that “pasta” meant something.

Now, I’ve done some googling and there are all kinds of things re what it could have been. But when I ask my gf a few weeks later, she says adamantly and defensively that her friend was just “really drunk” and she has no idea what that meant. She said she didn’t know why she called me and she was just in the bathroom. I didn’t wanna press it too much cause I’m not a jealous or possessive dude. Any ideas on what that meant?

Certainly sounds like her friend meant drugs

Tbh I think her friend was drunk and said nonsense and GF was tired/annoyed/hungover as most people are at the end of a trip with their friends and was then cold with you. Unless there’s more you’re leaving out, there’s not enough smoke to be looking for a fire.

Maybe… Your GF was just drunk and eating pasta. Maybe not everything has subliminal and hidden meanings. Drunk people love food. Its not rocket science.

When you did get her on Facetime with you, she was weird and cold…

But was that because you were freaking out and blowing up her phone trying to get in touch afterwards?

Or maybe she was just burnt out from all the partying and low energy?

pasta is a food, which originated in Italy. (noodles were invented in all sorts of cultures all over the world independently, but pasta is generally considered to be Italian in origin.

it’s a dough, made from flour and water/eggs, and then shaped in many different ways before being usually boiled (sometimes baked). it’s often served with a sauce of some kind, veggies and meat, and often cheese.

    > I’m not a jealous or possessive dude.

cool, then there’s nothing to worry about, right. because you’re not jealous or possessive, right. and you understand that drunk people say drunk people shit sometimes, and a great deal of the time, what they’re saying doesn’t make any sense and isn’t really based in anything, it’s just drunk people drunk talking.

On urban dictionary it means anything from having sex to doing drugs to having a drink to actually having pasta. I’d investigate more.

If your girlfriend or her friends are reality Tv show fans (and specifically Vanderpump Rules) then it’s 100% meant to be cocaine

She was doing coke for sure
