I (M 29) ruined my first actual relationship due to a myriad of factors. During this period of my life, my gf (F 32) listened to me spiral on a daily basis. It drained mentally and I don’t blame her. I’m getting therapy now. Today we spoke and she said dont wait for me because she’s clocked out right now on us, but said maybe in the future there’s a possibility somewhere in the future we’re we can try again and see what happens. When I’m mentally ready to date again I want to see where we are because she means a lot to me and if we can start over again that would be amazing. What would you do in this situation? Am I wasting my time being optimistic about a posibility? What should I do?
TL;DR GF (32) is burnt out about our relationship right now, but is open to the idea of possibly continuing it in the future with me M(29).

There is no ‘we’. She broke up with you. Focus on yourself and becoming a healthy functioning human for as long as it takes. After that, wait a year. Then don’t reach out to her at all. Make new relationships that arent built on a foundation of emotional horrors.
Move on. Use this time to learn how..
