i have an ex- that would threaten to unalive herself. i left anyway eventually. she’s still alive (in another state thankfully). it was always an empty threat.

I feel like it’s worth mentioning that if you’re so unhappy in the relationship that you’re happy to have an excuse to leave, that’s done man. Staying in it just wastes everyone’s time you know. Just makes both of you unhappy. You’re not responsible for what people do when you break up as long as you’re not mean about it. Hope your life improves now though so cheers.
