Goat Status has lost its meaning nowadays

r/

If I had a penny for every single time a mediocre or average joe called themselves the ‘Goat’ at something that a thousand plus people can do better than them I’d be able to buy Mars. Y’all need to look up what some words you use mean before attributing them to your activity or hobby.

Goated post tbh. OP is the 🐐 for this.

People calling themselves goats sarcastically don’t make real goats less worthy of title

The meaning hasn’t changed or been lost. It’s just used incorrectly and without proper merit to back it up.

    Saying goat is stupid anyways.

you can call yourself anything, it doesn’t diminish what it actually means.

Not an unpopular opinion with me. Here’s the comprehensive list of people who deserve that title:

    1. Muhammad Ali

Being called the throat goat when I’ve only eaten a single hot dog in front of them just seems insincere

Every superlative eventually becomes just another synonym for “cool”

  13. qbald1 Avatar

    I don’t think that’s an unpopular opinion

    Goat of unpopular opinions

Do you hold the same opinion for a word like ā€œawesomeā€? It’s hardly used only for awe-inspiring situations.
