I say this because it is the most realistic looking version off Godzilla. it actually looks like something I could believe would exist, instead of some obese creature that looks like a person in a costume, which ALL other iterations of Godzilla look like to me. It actually looks like a creature that could cause the mayhem, where as others are just so slow and obese looking, that irl, they could be killed immediately with real life military counterattacks. Also, Matthew Broderick and Jean Reno’s roles we well performed. Overall, this is the most enjoyable movie, imho in the godzilla franchise.

I 100% agree with you, that Godzilla looks modern and sleek. The original looking Godzilla looks like a toy.

Genuinely unpopular among Godzilla fans. While I didn’t love the movie, Godzilla looked pretty cool. Also, Jean Reno is an underrated actor and was excellent in this movie

Totally unpopular. That doesn’t even count as a Godzilla movie.
Just because it’s the most ‘realistic’ looking doesn’t mean it’s the best Godzilla movie.
Also I’m willing to bet this is a bad faith post, because you haven’t even seen enough Godzilla movies to say which is the best. Godzilla is a fictional creature so I don’t even get where you’re coming from saying it looks the most ‘realistic’.
And you obviously don’t know anything about Godzilla saying ‘he would be killed immediately’.

I absolutely loved that movie. All other Godzilla movies are fantasy, this one was realistic.
