Played cool, by saying my parents were rich. Had a date with a gorgeous girl back then, she had totally rich parents. And I was like, okay, totally weird shit. I’m outta here. Too much rich kids vibe.
I went for a date with this alt/metal girl I liked, back in the days when I was way more self-conscious. For whatever reason I was thumbing through my CD binder in the car while waiting for her, and noticed I had this Insane Clown Posse CD from my teen years that was scratched all to hell and I knew it didn’t work properly. I threw it on the ground (littering, I know, I’ve grown) next to the car, and when she got in the car she asked if I’d dropped it. I vehemently denied it being mine, acted like I was disgusted by it. The saddest part is, she KNEW it was ICP without it even saying so on the album, which meant she probably liked it anyways… but I wanted to be a picture perfect metal boi who thought other music was dumb.
