Harassed by Neighbor – do I have a case?

r/

Location: New York

Neighbor who shares our driveway built fences at the midline splitting our backyards in half to restrict our car’s access to the electric car charger. With the previously installed fences, the car could barely enter through the driveway to the backyard where the charging station was installed. We had agreed to them our cars would only be parked in the backyard, instead of within the driveway, to ensure everyone’s access to the driveway.

We have beef. There was a conflict between us that led to him destroying our property and being arrested. There was an injunction against him. He started extending the fences today that will make it difficult for the car to get near the charger, so the assumption is the injunction has expired.

Is this a violation of rights? Can we apply for an injunction, potentially a permanent one? Do we need a lawyer, and in this case, what kind? Or any other advice would be appreciated!

You may need to upload a diagram, and more importantly, who owns the charger? Do you own or rent the property? Is the fence on his property? Have you had a survey done? Is there any easement?

Whose property is the electric charger on? Where is the property line? Are the fences over the property lines? Are there easements involved? An injunction against him for what?
