I’ve heard about some pretty unique hobbies like competitive rock skipping and geocaching. Are there any of you who have tried these or similar hobbies? How did it go?
Has anyone tried an unusual hobby like competitive rock skipping or geocaching?

I did some Geocaching with a work buddy about 9 years ago, and had a blast, but he was tired of it eventually, so we stopped. Same pattern took place with my S/O at the time. I paid for the premium app and everything!
I still love the IDEA of it, but I can’t seem to find anyone who agrees, at least not nearby enough for me to want to dust off the app again. Almost a decade later, and it’s still one of the first activities I recommend with potential new friends or partners.
I unintentionally found a geocache once but I never actually learned how to play
I haven’t tried those. I’ve always wanted to try frisbee golf though.
I had a friend who somehow done competitive cloth folding. He stopped after a few weeks due to the added wrist strain.
Geocaching is great, but I never considered it weird before
I’ve done Rubik’s Cubes competitions. That’s as niche as I get.
I’m a advid hiker who picks up litter as I go, I’ve stumbled across a few geocaching clues and thrown them away as they are still trash humans are destroying environment with. So please don’t do that
We geocache! It’s fun! Gets you moving out in nature, gets your brain working as you search for the cache…noticing the tiny details of things that may not be in place.
Highly recommend!
My Scout Troop loves geocaching, and has placed a few caches around for the Cub Pack. We did an incredible puzzle geocache at a Jamboree recently; they loved it!
I’m a pretty dedicated disc golfer. I’ve traveled the country playing and I’m sponsored by a company that takes care of some of my expenses. I don’t earn a living off of it but almost enough to support my habit.
When I lived in Minnesota I lived a block away from the police station. MN was boring asf so I’d follow police officers as a hobby. Sadly most were domestic disputes.
