Have you ever had a time where a woman you didn’t know seemed to move away from you because you sat by her but you had no intention to interact? If so, what happened?

r/

A few weeks ago, I sat on a bench in a mall waiting for my father. There was a woman sitting there. I had no intention to interact, but she left. I didn’t know if she moved because there was already someone else there (me), or she didn’t like men, or was afraid of men.

    You’re overthinking

    They just left

    It was never about you

I have not faced that and hopefully, you don’t take offence to what she did. Some do get anxious

    Yes, so I followed her.

I walked in a bar once and looked around and a girl shook her head at me as if denying me completely unprompted. Just gotta accept women often have to deal with weirdos and we’re collateral because as far as they know we’re strangers

You are looking way too much into this, she may have just been ready to leave. Some people are also just not social with complete strangers, I might do the same if a stranger sat next to me, man or woman.

Realistically she probably didn’t even notice you

I mean, if they leave then that’s on them.

Personally, having strangers sit next to me bothers me a lot, regardless if it’s a man or a woman, specially if there are open spots elsewhere.

Of course, rush hour in public transit is another thing, but in those scenarios I try to go to a corner of the wagon and just stay there, can’t do anything about people surrounding me.

If there were other seats and you didn’t give the 1 seat between us rule a go, you deserved it for lack of self awareness.
